For the last
five months
Voices of a Grateful Nation, along with
the Kerrville Folk Festival
and Cheatham Street
Warehouse, has been working on breaking
the Guinness World Record for the most guitars
assembled at one time to play a song to benefit the Welcome
Home Project in their support for our Injured
Veterans!

On Sunday, August 23
guitar pickers from all over converged upon Luckenbach Texas
to set the record and to show support for the Welcome
Home Project. 1,859 pickers
simultaneously played "This Land is Your Land",
breaking the old record of 1,802. Proceeds
Support the Welcome Home Project's Veteran's Endowment for
Traumatic Brain Injuries and the Sound Healing Program that
teaches vets how to play the guitar as a component of their
TBI recovery.
