scene for years. He is the consummate
ringmaster of any open mic, jam, or chance
gathering of musicians from any walk of the
musical spectrum. Adding sparks from
either his own vast catalog of songs or playing
standards with his unique wit and style
fronting one of his own bands or when he has been
performing with the likes of Doug Sahm, Gatemouth
Brown, Kinky Friedman or Steve Earle, Butch is a
